01Why we publish this
Cryptocurrency markets are volatile and complex. Our bots execute strategies with discipline, but no software can eliminate market risk. We would rather keep you informed than oversell you.
02You can lose your entire capital
Crypto-asset prices can move violently in seconds. Any strategy — automated or manual — can lose money, and in extreme conditions losses can reach 100% of the allocated capital.
Volatility cuts both ways: large gains and large losses happen fast, sometimes within the same session. Thin liquidity, cascading liquidations and sudden news can push prices beyond any stop-loss you set.
Only allocate capital you can afford to lose entirely, and consider your overall financial situation before trading.
03Modeled and past performance
Past performance, whether real or backtested, does not guarantee future results. No figure displayed on NexoBot is a promise of future profit.
The platform currently runs in preview mode: every balance, trade, profit and track-record figure is produced by the trading engine in preview mode on live market prices. Backtests replay historical data under assumptions that may not hold in the future. Live markets add slippage, latency, fees and human behavior that any model approximates but never reproduces exactly.
04No financial advice
NexoBot provides execution software, not advice. Strategy descriptions, suggested parameters, articles and performance tables are educational material. They do not take into account your situation, your objectives or your tax position, and they must not be read as a recommendation to buy or sell any asset. Consult a licensed financial or tax advisor before making decisions.
05Execution and technology risk
Trading runs on technology: network latency, exchange outages, price-feed delays, partial fills and slippage can all make a real execution differ from what you expected. Bots act on the parameters you define — and those parameters remain your responsibility.
No platform can guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance and emergency interventions may pause the service; your bots resume when the engine does.
06Strategy risk
- Grid bots assume a price range. A strong trend through your range can leave you holding inventory bought on the way down.
- DCA bots average into a position. A prolonged decline keeps adding exposure instead of protecting you.
- Sniping bots enter new listings within seconds, where spreads are wide, liquidity is thin and slippage is extreme — including beyond configured limits during crashes.
- Stop-losses and take-profits are orders, not guarantees: in fast markets they may fill far from their trigger price.
07Custody and counterparty risk
NexoBot operates a custodial model: assets credited to your account are held by NexoBot SAS in segregated wallets while you trade. This creates counterparty exposure to us. We mitigate it with cold-storage custody, withdrawal whitelists and layered security — but no custody arrangement reduces the risk to zero.
In the current preview, custody runs in preview mode and no real asset exists. The description above reflects the intended production model.
08Regulatory and tax risk
Crypto-asset regulation differs from country to country and keeps evolving. A change in law can affect the availability of services, the tax treatment of your activity or the value of the assets you hold. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with the rules that apply to you, including declaring and paying any taxes due on your gains.
09Your responsibility
You are the only person responsible for the strategies you enable, the amounts you allocate and the risks you take. NexoBot provides tools and information; the decisions, and their consequences, are yours.
